Chilled water plant upgrade

Overview:

Working in conjunction with the Energy Trust of Oregon, HD replaced the existing chillers and cooling tower serving the building. The new magnetic bearing and heat pump chillers significantly increased the building’s operational efficiency.

Highlights:

It was necessary to demolish and reconstruct a part of the roof to get the new chillers into place. The reconstruction allows for easy removal during future equipment upgrades.
HD also recently designed and installed a VRF system to serve the First-Floor tenants.
